Justice Butler became homeless in Houston, Texas where she was raised when Verizon Wireless closed their Call Center where she worked 8 years in technical support after a few mishaps. From there she found success starting school at Houston Community College as a film student. Her homeless story brought awareness to the homeless issue at the Central campus Butler attended. She was able to share her story at #RealCollege at Temple University in Philadelphia and was invited back after she created a film documentary called, InVisible, which brought awareness of the nationwide homeless epidemic in colleges and universities by bringing light to her own college based on three students experiences that included her own.  Justice was able to bring history to her college and Houston, Texas by having the first homeless event by an institution in Houston at HCC. She received her Associates degree and headed to Los Angeles from an invite to stay with a friend to continue her education by attending University of Southern California for her bachelor's degree.

Unfortunately, upon arriving to Los Angeles Justice realized her friend lived on Skid Row a homeless area in downtown Los Angeles in what is called an SRO for Single Room Occupancy. From there Butler got assistance from the Department of Social Services and found herself living in a transitional homeless shelter. Butler didnt look at it negatively, but as a way to find and bring out more inside information on what issues are stopping the resolution of homelessness and the truth about Skid Row. As a film student there are people working diligently at getting her in USC for February 2019 as she documents her and others struggles coping with homelessness on Skid Row and the horrible conditions and treatment of homeless clients.

Butler was invited back to host the film festival and screen her own documentary at #RealCollege Conference, which was be held this year in Houston at her former school, Houston Community College, September 28th at 8pm. The conference is from Sept 27-29th.

Justice is making waves on Skid Row and making changes even if for many they seem little. At Weingart Center where she is housed she just made a change where people now receive filtered water for breakfast along with milk and coffee, instead of being directed to the stale water fountain. She has also been requested to be on a committee that helps with deciding the food to be served, after Butler complained of everyone being served "jail food". Justice has team up with a homeless cameraman, film editor, and animator, Chad to help her production in Los Angeles for her new documentary in the works, InVisible2 and Jimmieka Mills, Moses Belton Sr and Ryan Nitsch will be continuing production in Houston. With hel[ from donations Butler plans are to add Jimmieka's hometown Oakland, Ca and Moses hometown, Brooklyn, NY in the future documentary where viewers get a tour of homelessness in their own home city.

Justice plans to become a major filmmaker and already has a screenplay written for a dramatic TV episode and her experience on Skid Row is in the works. She is also a talented music poet and can be found at www.numberonemusic.com/doap.
